Each morning Ric, Lyn, Tosca & myself had an early morning walk along Diamond Beach and the headland. It is a very pretty part of the coastline and the views are spectacular from the headland. There is a new estate at the top of the hill that is selling real estate called "Seascape" it has been landscaped with a lot of walking paths around the estate with look outs and paths to the beach.
While we were there we saw some whales off the coast (very hard to get good photos as they were a bit far out) and there were a lot of dolphins frolicking in the waves and I saw one swimming under the bridge at the Tuncurry/Forster bridge.
We had a look at one resort just off the beach & it looked neglected and closed - such a shame as it would have been lovely in its day - if you look closely at the photo you will see a peacock up on the verandah. Apparently they live wild there and are often seen wandering through the garden.
