Wagga to Cowra - October 2014

Cowra was a lovely neat town with beautiful roses.

We stopped off to view the Botanical Gardens there which were lovely.

Cowra War Museum - October 2014

We were travelling from Wagga to Bathurst and stopped on whim at the Cowra War Museum.

We thought it would take half an hour or so to wander through - but once inside we found the exhibition absolutely huge - much bigger than it appears from the road - Good value for money and it contained the most fascinating "old stuff" in addition to some magnificent war memorabilia.

About two hours later we found our way out after only being able to briefly view a lot of the exhibits. If you are a war memorabilia buff or just like old stuff then this is the place for you - better book in at Cowra overnight so you can have two days there.

The old POW camp exhibits, war machinery and vehicles, clothing, medals, communications, trains, all things railway and in general bits of everything.

It was a great stop off and I would recommend this to anyone who loves old memorabilia.

Cowra to Blayney - October 2014

We travelled through some nice country side from Cowra to Blaney - stopping at Blaney for morning tea.  We had perfect travel weather.

Blaney was a nice little town to stop off and have a break from "on road".  The countryside was rural and with recent rains - nice and green.
