Blue Mountains - Bathurst to Gosford - 30th October 2014

This was the last day of our 21 day Motor Home Experience taking us from Gosford NSW down the coastline to Victoria to visit the Great Ocean Road and country Victoria.  We returned home via Bathurst to Gosford. I am posting the photos from the last day forward so that you can follow our 21 day tour through day by day.

We hired our Motor Home from Ausventure at Erina and had a very comfortable trip with easy driving from Gosford and return over the 21 days.  This was our second experience with Ausventure Motor Homes and found them just as good the second time around. You can view our Cunnamulla experience on this blog.

The last day of our tour we travelled from Bathurst (Peter's home town) to Gosford via the Blue Mountains.

The countryside was beautiful and the Blue Mountains very unique.  One of our highlights was stopping at the Blue Mountains Botanical Gardens at Katoomba.

If you are a garden lover you will need a whole day there to take in all the splendor of the Australian Native plants spread out over acres.  The area is immaculate and the are plants awesome.  I would have loved to have had time to do the many varied walks down the mountainside as it has been landscaped to perfection.  We spent a couple of hours there including coffee at the lovely restaurant on the balcony overlooking the view.  I would recommend this stopover for Katoomba travellers.

Out last day of the tour was comfortable - we had a nice day to enjoy the views and to get ourselves home in time to unpack and get organised.

We loved our Motor Home Tour and would recommend it to any others wondering how it would be for a tour of this kind.  We found the camping grounds very good overall.  We did travel in low season which meant we did not have any problem booking in.  I did use the Apple Wiki Camps app to review the camping grounds before stopping there.  we were able to book in the day of travel without any problems which was good because we could change our minds and stay longer if we wished.

I hope you enjoyed reviewing our trip as much as we did experiencing it.
