Port Stephens area - Salamander Bay - November 2016

We visited Port Stephens area for the best part of two weeks and Salamander Bay was one of the areas we checked out as it has a large beach area, large residential area, supports most of the large shopping centres which includes a huge shopping centre with a good range of commercial shops and another large centre for hardware shops like Bunnings, caravan and camping stores etc. I would consider it the business centre of the Port Stephens area. 

There are some lovely holiday rental options with waterfrontage, clubs and pubs. This area is the busiest traffic wise of all the areas we visited but would be a great area to holiday if you want a lot of options.

Properties are side by side all along the extensive waterfront area with lovely views across the bay. These photos were taken from a waterfront park. 

There were plenty of boats out on the water making it a very popular holiday spot for boat owners.
