We travelled from Munich in Germany through the Bavarian Alps to stay at Oberammergau which was the setting for the Passion Play.
Our accommodation was the Alte Post - a very old fashioned hotel full of character. The weather was wet and cold but that did not deter us from walking around having a look at the shops, the magnificent Catholic Church and the decorated houses which were fascinating with all their detail.
We went to see Ludwigs Castle which is an amazing work of art (see separate posting).
The weather ranged from 5 degrees to 15 degrees but it was fitting with all the snow capped mountains around. We stayed one night there and travelled on to Innsbruck in Austria.
