Ernie Els Course - Friday 19th October 2007

Early this morning we played the Ernie Els Course which runs around the main resort & is lit up for night golf. It was a great course to play - a bit easier than some of the others, but challenging in it's own right. The dew was quite wet on the first few holes (See first picture - we were on elevated tees looking way down below to the fairway - an awesome hole). At the 17th hole (3 par)you have a really good view of the resort (see last photo). Our rooms were the balcony rooms going around the left hand side of the resort. We had a relaxing afternoon before going out to a local restaurant for dinner. Peter was sick with a cold & retired early to recover. I went & had a foot massage after golf which was great.

Entries for my journal for today: Ben got an Eagle on a par 5 - 3/4 on the 13th;
Richard got a birdie on one of the 3 pars; Robyn hit her ball into the water & the ball rebounded off a rock & landed back on the fairway; Wendy & Jan nearly got birdies; Judy had a massage instead of golf; Robyn went for a manicure which took an hour and a half - Doug was in a panic because he could not find her; Yvonne was sick with a Tummy bug & went off to hospital for treatment; Arthur had acupuncture on his back; Rod had cut his finger on the first day - which should have been stitched - he managed to play golf right through & blamed his scores on the sore finger; Maureen went for a manicure & the girl asked her where she came from. Maureen (English accent) told her that she came from Australia & the girl said "Why?";Doug and John have both fallen up/down steps and are sporting heaps of bandaids; Yvonne could not play a lot of golf because her knees hurt; Wendy suffered a couple of bad migraine attacks; Frank had a sore foot. Apart from that the rest of us were great & never mind the golf scores.
