For a quick break in our travels we called into the "Pub in the Paddock" (St Columba Falls Hotel).
We did not see a lot of traffic on the road as we had travelled from Legerwood & were amazed to see the number of people calling into the hotel - obviously it is a well known tourist attraction.
It was standing room only at one stage as we crowded into the bar to get a drink. It was a cosy place with a lovely wood fire which was nice on a cold rainy day. The hotel was full of historic and local information, old photos & unique Tasmanian country pub atmosphere.
The J. Martin mentioned as the head park keeper on the plaque was no relation to me.
