We stayed at the Salamanca Inn Hotel while in Hobart & it was a very good choice. It was easy walking distance from the shops, restaurants and markets. We enjoyed the freedom of being able to come & go to the shops in our free time. The hotel is very comfortable with all the conveniences. We were able to walk down to the wharf and the park (photos attached) and the only day we had any bad weather in Hobart was on our last morning there when the day started with fierce winds and rain. It eased up throughout the day & we were able to get out amongst the markets and a walk around the docks area before flyng home in the afternoon.
