We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to catch up with some old friends who are now living in the vicinity of Byron Bay.
Our first catch up was with Gwen & Ron Parsons at their lovely property at Taloumbi where we called in for afternoon tea on the way up to Byron Bay.
Our second catch up was with Gwen Gardiner (mother of our good friend Ken Gardiner) who now resides at a retirement home at Bangalow.
Our third catch up was with Ron & Gwen again who visited Byron Bay to have lunch with us. On the same day Bob Guest and Doug Sharpe of old "Gosford Townies" fame called into the caravan park to say hello. There was much reminising that day of the old townies footy matches.
Our fourth catch up was with Bob Guest again but this time with his lovely wife Jan who we met at the Byron Bay RSL Club for dinner.
Our fifth catchup was unplanned but also at the Byron Bay RSL Club and again at Woolworths at Byron Bay we ran into Rosie and Darren Squibb who used to live in Mum's house at Burleigh Heads.
So, it is a small world we live in & our friends are not all that far away.
