Golf at Riverside Oaks - January 2009

January 20th and 21st - at Riverside Oaks near Dural in Sydney.
Riverside Oaks is a great golfing experience especially a two day excursion with 20 of the golfing ladies from Gosford. It is a really well organised two days of golf staying over at the club's accommodation units on the course. The facility can cater for up to 20 people and supply twin share accommodation, food, bbq facilities, full kitchen & dining facilities, a large outdoor area and swimming pool and all of this for a very reasonable cost. The two days were enhanced by the organising capabilities of the Gosford girls who have done this excursion before. It was a fun couple of days and everyone did enjoy themselves both on and off the golf course.
The first day we played nine holes of golf in the afternoon to get a feel for the course. It was a very hot day and we all appreciated a swim in the pool afterwards to cool off. The girls arranged for nibbles before dinner and a self cooked BBQ with salads etc supplied in the cost. We had a presentation and a few fun games like "Twister" (only for the fittest)" Last Man Standing" and "Charades" that we all took part in. We also had a presentation of trophy winners & some fun prizes along the way. The second day we played 18 holes and were lucky that the day was a little cooler than the previous day. We were able to hit off earlier than we intended to escape the heat and that also got us back home at a reasonable time. It was an excellant couple of days and I can understand why the Gosford girls look forward to it each year.
