Vietnam - Travelling from Sydney to Hanoi via Ho Chi Minh City - April 2013

Our travel group of twelve golfers was a good size group for our planned trip of two weeks in Vietnam.
Four of us travelled business class and the rest were in economy as there is no other class of travel on Vietnam Airlines.

We had a great flight from Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City with Vietnam Airlines.  We were able to book in as a group booking and we all got window seats and aisle seats (two seats only so that we did not have to disturb anyone getting in and out of our seats on the window sides).  It was a comfortable trip leaving Sydney about 10.15 am and arriving in Ho Chi Minh City in time for a drink at the airport before catching a domestic flight to Hanoi.

It was a good time to fly across Australia and we got a good view of the outback which changed constantly between farmland and desert area with some nice clear vision of the lakes and waterways.

We were met in Hanoi by our travel guide and private tour bus that took us to the Sheraton Hotel in the city centre where we were to stay for a few days before going to Halong Bay for an overnight cruise and then returning to Hanoi.

It was about 9 o'clock at night by the time we arrived in the city so it was a very long day of travel.

Halong bay is one of the 7 wonders of the world. It looks like an extremely vivid drawing.this is a wonderful and skilful masterpiece of the creation and of nature. You try go to Ha Long bay.
