Summary of our Vietnam Trip - 2013

We had a great time on our golfing tour of Vietnam.  The trip was organised by Mary from Great Wall Travel in Sydney and our local Vietnam tour guide was Lich from Indochina Travel Yacht.

We were lucky enough to have good weather for the most of our trip.  We had our own bus and bus driver. Our accommodation was very good.  The meals were mainly based on seafood and there was plenty of it.

We had only a few small hiccups with accommodation and timing but overall the trip ran very smoothly and we enjoyed our golf courses.

I have put each of our destinations in a separate post so that you can walk through our trip in the order that we travelled.  Just click on "older posts" at the bottom of each posting or select from the menu on the right hand side for places that you are interested in.

My overall impression of Vietnam is that I was very happy to have seen the country.  It was not as advanced from a commercial point of view that I expected it to be however I had no trouble with Internet connections or free WiFi which was available everywhere we went except for Halong Bay and the Meking Delta.  The Golf Courses were lovely - especially Long Thahn in Saigon.

There is a lot of history to follow in the country and some beautiful countryside - especially in the mountain areas.  Halong Bay was a unique spot and well worth a visit.  There is also a lot of poverty but the people are very happy and content with their lives and are very friendly and courteous.

I hope you enjoy my photos and details of our trip.
