Country Acres Caravan Park, Singleton - September 2013

We decided to stop off at Singleton on our way home so that our last trek to home was a reasonably short trip which would enable us to clean the Motor Home and return it by a reasonable hour.

We checked out the various Caravan Parks on the Internet and decided on the Country Acres Caravan Park which was on the way into Singleton.  We found the site easily enough and had the choice of three areas away from the highway but close to the amenities block.  There was a swimming pool and good laundry and amenities block.  For $35 a night it was not cheap but the security seemed good and the park was nice and clean. It was set up mainly for permanent residents with enough space for overnight stayers that are prepared to pay the extra price.

The park was not far away from the RSL club at Singleton Heights where we went to dinner that night.  The only things that went wrong was our electricity connection stopped sometime through the night with no major effect other that my telephone and ipad did not charge up and the RSL Club Dinner was not of a high standard, but did it save us from cooking.

We travelled from Dubbo and arrived in time to have 9 holes of golf at the Singleton Golf Club.

The Caravan Park is a family owned business that has been there for many years.  They are fussy about who they let in the park which is comforting from a security point of view.

The stop over proved to be a good idea as we arrived home in a refreshed state in plenty of time to unpack and get the Motor Home back.
