We travelled from Ararat at 9.30 am arriving in Ballarat at 11 am. We are on our way to stay overnight at Bendigo but had a day at Ballarat to see what it had to offer a tourist. In hind sight we should have stayed over night here as there was so much to see. We visited the Memorial for the Australian Prisoners of War, the Botanical Gardens, Lake Wendouree and Sovereign Hill. We had a good look around and appreciated what we saw.
