Cypress Lakes Golf Resort - Hunter Valley

On Thursday 9th october 2008 we played Cypress Lakes Golf Course in perfect golfing weather.
We found the course rather difficult as a lot of the hazards were out of view & the bunkers were very rough and unforgiving. It was a very enjoyable day all the same with the course very pituresque with all the water & grapevines around the course. We even saw some kangaroos roaming freely & some frilled neck lizards. The greens & fairways were not as manicured as the Hunter Valley or the Vintage course and the paths were pretty rough in places.
Probably the second time around the course would be better when you would have more of an idea of the layout and hazard traps. The course is very close to the Hunter Valley Gardens so we went there for visit after golf. (see separate report)
