Quebec, Canada - September 2012

We had a huge day at Quebec City which was very tiring after having a full day's travel from Boston the day before.  The weather was very cold with showers and brisk winds on and off during the day which did not enhance our city walks.

I enjoyed Quebec City but we had to pack in a whole lot into one day.  We stayed at the Hilton Quebec which was Central to the park, Parliament House and walking distance to Old Quebec City and the waterfront.

We arrived late evening on our first night in Quebec so we did not get to see any of the city until the next day.  We had a guided walking tour of the Old Quebec City which was included in our Globus Tour.  The Queen Mary was berthed in the Harbour and we saw it leave during our tour.  We took the funicular from Old Quebec City after the tour and walked back to our hotel via the parkways for our free afternoon.

That evening we were taken to the Montmorency Falls and Dinner at Le Moulin de Saint - Laurent as an optional extra of the tour.  It was a worthwhile option as the falls were spectacular and the autumn fall made it special.

The cold bone chilling  winds made us all rug up and the showers continued into the night.
