Montreal, Canada - September 2012

Our Globus Eastern USA & Canada Tour Group
arriving in Montreal in the rain

We left Quebec about 8.00am in bad weather and arrived in Montreal about lunchtime.  The weather had eased to showers so we were able to have our group photo taken and had time for a walk around and lunch before our city tour.

We had a bit of trouble finding our way around looking for the underground shopping centre.  We ended up finding an underground convention centre that did have some shops and somewhere to eat.

Our city tour was in the rain made worthwhile only by our visit to the Notre Dame Basilica which was truly beautiful.  The photos do not do justice to the beauty of the place. It is a masterpiece and well worth a visit.

We only had a one night stay which only gave us the briefest overview of the city.  We went to the old city for dinner that evening but the weather was so bad I could not take any photos.

There were Museums we could have visited and the Casino but our time was very restricted.  I will have to reserve my opinion of Montreal as I felt that we did not see the best side of it but once again the Basilica made it worthwhile.
