The Freedom Trail, Boston USA - September 2012

The Freedom Trail is a "Must Do" walking tour of Boston.  The city has the walk marked out with red paint and red bricks which leads you from one historical site to another throughout the city.  There are maps to help you find your way as well as sometimes the street markings get a little confusing.  We had great fun wandering our way along the trail and absorbing all the history of the buildings, grave sites and parks. It was a great way to see the city on foot.  It was not a difficult walk as there are no high grades to negotiate and there are plenty of shady spots to rest up and the Quincy Markets to explore.  We picked up the walk after we finished out harbour cruise and walked from the waterfront back to our hotel with no difficulty.
