We started our Canyon Tour with Globus today from Scottsdale which was to take us through the state of Arizona visiting Sedona, Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Monument Valley, Bryce Canton, Zion National Park & Las Vegas.
The weather at Scottsdale had been very hot and dry (in excess of 100 degrees) - typical desert temperature (I would hate to be there in the summer). We were looking forward to our canyon experiences.
Our first stop was Sedona where we were taken on a 4 X 4 jeep ride to view the Mongolian Rim. The jeeps were all painted pink and we each had our own tour guide/driver per vehicle. It was a very scenic trip with some magnificent rock formations. This tour was a part of the Globus CanyonTour.
It was a very hot day and it was interesting to see how the towns people coped with the heat with fine sprays of water spraying out on the footpath and restaurant to keep the temperatures to a bearable state where there was no air conditioning.
