On our journey from Yosemite to Monterey we stopped off at Carmel-by-the Sea (famous for it's film star resident Clint Eastwood) for a short break. It was a lovely neat place with tree lined streets. We browsed through the shops and even though it was a very hot day Peter bought a woolen jumper & I bought a reversible jacket - only because they were a good price. Little did we know we would get good use out of them when we reached the Canadian part of our tour. We did not have a whole lot of time to go further than two or three streets as our bus was waiting to take us on to Monterey.
