We travelled from Monterey to San Simeon stopping there to view Hearst Castle.
This part of the trip we saw some beautiful rural views and huge strawberry farms.
Apparently this part of California supplies a huge percentage of the worlds strawberries.
It is easy to see how that would happen as there were acres and acres of farms for miles on end.
It is easy to see why Publishing Magnate William Randolph Hearst chose San Simeon to build his magnificent castle - the country side was picture perfect in all directions
It was a pleasure to drive through this part of California.
