We arrived in New York at the end of our Globus Tour which was an overview of Eastern Canada and Eastern USA.  We had a two night stay with Globus staying at the New York Hotel & Towers on 7th Avenue.  It was a good hotel and a comfortable stop over.  As part of the Globus Tour we had an included City Tour on our second day in New York which was an excellent tour covering the main highlights of New York and also a boat cruise out to the Statue of Liberty and past Ellis Island.

On the Tour we saw the Rockefeller Center from ground level, the important buildings and structures in the city, the Financial District including Wall Street, the Empire State Building from Ground level, Ground Zero from the Convention Centre level, GreenwichVillage, Soho, Tribeca and an overview of the city and its grids and designs., some of the parks in the city & famous statues and landmarks.  It was interesting to see New York from the water on the boat cruise which gave us another perspective of the city.

For the rest of the week we transferred hotels and stayed at the Staybridge Suites in Time Square which was also good accommodation and in a convenient location.  We did get to see the main tourist attractions of New York but there were many more places to explore and also places I would have liked to have spent more time in.
