Photos taken along the Yangtze River; Us at a lecture given by "Tony" our River Guide on Fengdu and the Three Gorges Dam Project. Tony was the only person who could speak good english on the ship. The Captain could not speak english at all so Tony would have to translate for him.
We were supposed to have a briefing on safety procedure this morning but the Captain was sick so it was cancelled.
We did not have any safety instructions given to us at all & the boat only had two lifeboats which was a concern as there are something like 100 guests and a similar amount of staff on the ship. Thankfully we did not have a fire or any other drama that could possibly happen on a ship as old as this. The only way off the ship was through the main foyer or off the top deck as all the windows were fixed save some very small windows (far too small & high to crawl through). I would like to think that they had some fixed emergency procedure in place.
