We were all very pleasantly surprised at the beautiful set up around the poolside for our BBQ dinner. The area was all lit up with fairy lights and our tables all decorated with fresh flowers as if we were at a wedding. The food was all laid out buffet style with two chefs preparing the hot food. It was a beautiful evening to sit around the pool. It was a very relaxing way to finish the day.
Tonight's notes for the journal: Maureen took the lift to her room last night. The lift took her to the 6th floor and would not come back down. She was stuck there.
When the doors opened on the 6th level there was a builders ply petition in front of her blocking off all exits from the lift. Maureen pushed the petition in a panic & it fell down leaving Maureen & everything else covered in dust. When the dust settled Maureen could see a second lift door that fortunately took her back down, but not before she was hysterical & crying after not being able to get anyone's attention. Rod had to get her a scotch to settle her down when she finally made it to their room; Ray Stapleton thought that the dessert mousse (see photo) was a cup of coffee & tried to drink it; Ron Beechey was checking out the band, saying to Richard that 'there were two lovely ladies'. Richard replied 'one of them is a man';
