This was our last day on the ship. During the morning we had our third off shore excursion being a visit to the Three Gorges Dam project. It was an amazing piece of engineering and well worth the visit to see the magnitude of the place.
We were able to view the dam & the locks (through the smog). We noticed that they were very careful with security around the dam and we had to enter through a security check on the way in.
They had some good displays and many places to walk & view the project. They had a large rock on display outside the main area (see photo attached). It was collected off the bottom of the river when the project first started.
