Cataract Gorge Reserve - Launceston 13th September 2008

Our visit to the Cataract Gorge Reserve was a good excursion. We all managed the chairlift over the gorge and walked back over the suspension bridge which gave us a chance to stretch our legs. A coffee and/or beer at the cafe to finish made a good day. There were daffodills growing everywhere and an abundance of wildlife including peacocks just wandering around the reserve. It was just a short run to our hotel so it was not an exhausting thing to do.
Images attached: On the bus at Launceston airport with our driver "Bob" and "Bill Elliott" our manager for the tour; the chairlift accross the gorge; walking back around the trail that leads accross the suspension bridge; an old historic tree at the entrance to the reserve. Hi Jan Martin! Great to see the pictures that you posted. Am so amazed with the actual picture of the peacock. Were you able to touch it? Anyway, I'm from the Philippines and a new blogger. I just want to have new friends from different continents.
