Echuca-Moama - October 2014

We travelled from Bendigo to Moama arriving in time to check out both of the towns either side of the NSW/Victoria border.  Echuca had a large park right on the Murray River but we decided to go to Moama for a two night stay so we would be closer to the Golf Club,

We stayed at A Shady River Tourist Park which was 5 klms out of town but close to the Golf Course and the RSL Club.  It was a lovely little park - nice and neat with well kept gardens. The cost was $35 per night for a powered site. The RSL Club was pretty much just down the road and it had a courtesy bus which would be handy.  The Club was quite large and catered for a lot of people.  We were there on a Sunday night and they had about 400 people there for dinner.  It was typical RSL Club food but they had efficient staff who handled the numbers well.

The Murray River was impressive and we checked out the river boats there.
