The Archer River was our first swim stop after we left Musgrave via Coen heading for Weipa. It was a beautiful creek very popular with travellers passing through. We had a nice warm day & the swim stop was appreciated by us and a nice stop over. The water flowed strongly but there were enough shallows to swim safely.
We stopped at the Archer River Roadhouse for lunch and the river was walking distance from the roadhouse.
