Cairns to Sydney 2nd July 2011

This was the last day of our Cape York Experience winding down a wonderful week of discovery of the top end of Australia - and one more thing ticked off the bucket list.

It had been raining a lot at Cairns while we were at the top but it fined up for our last day their & we were able to walk from our accommodation at the Bay Village Tropical Retreat to the Cairns Central Shopping Centre which was huge and had every conceivable shop.  It was bigger than Erina Fair and very well set out.

Our plane was good and we had a comfortable trip home with Qantas & arrived home in Goford about 7.00pm after timing a perfect run with the trains from the airport to Gosford.

This was a great experience and I would recommend the Wilderness Challenge 7 day Cape York Drive/Fly "Frontier" Accommodated 4WD Safari.  If you want to see all the wonders of off road travel & don't want the hassle of driving yourself or worrying about food & accommodation - this is the way to go. Our total cost for 9 days including flights & all meals bar one on the tour & not including meals at Cairns was approximately $3,700 per person which included the cost of resort accommodation at Cairns.

Separate posting are following for each of the tour highlights including photos.
