Sheldon Lagoon, Queensland - Wednesday 29th June 2011
Sheldon Lagoon was our lunch stop while travelling from Moreton Telegraph Station to Seisia. It was a beautiful little lagoon, only small and could easily be missed by traffic passing by.
At the lagoon there were two little turtles in the shallows Dean showed us a lot of interesting plants including carnivorous plants and other interesting shrubs growing along the edge of the lagoon. Again this would be something missed if you knew nothing of the area. (the major benefit of having a guide)
We had a picnic lunch and sat by the lagoon waving to the passing traffic, which was a welcome break after travelling some of the Telegraph Track.
