Somerset, Queensand Thursday 30th June 2011

On our way to the tip of Australia from Seisia we stopped at Somerset Beach for morning tea.  It was a lovely peaceful place with many people camping and touring.

Somerset is an old historic place on the Albany Passage and has the remnants of early settlers, pioneers & grave sites.  Dean took us on a walking tour of the beach area giving us an insight to life as it was in the early days.

It was not safe to swim at the beach as the area abounds with crocodiles and there was no way that we were going to tempt fate.
