Jardine River, Queensland - Wednesday 29th June 2011
We crossed over the Jardine River Crossing on our way from the Moreton Telegraph Station to Seisia.
The vehicles are carried across the Jardine River by cable ferry at at charge of $88 per vehicle.
Strict alcohol rules apply at the point of the trip and only limited beer and wine can be carried through. We had to relinquish a half bottle of Baileys at the Moreton Telegraph Station as we could not drink it all before we left. ( I didn't have enough friends to help).
It only takes a few minutes for the ferry to get us across and there were queues of vehicles waiting on both sides of the river so it is a very lucrative business.
