Vietnam - Datanla Waterfall, Dalat - April 2013

On our way from Dalat Airport to the city we called in to see the Datanla Waterfall which was well worth the visit.

It was much larger that I imagined it would be with the waterfall covering a large area.

We had the choice of walking down a lot of steps or riding self controlled sled which gave us the option of braking when we wished.  It was a bit hair raising to start with but really it was safe and a lot of fun.  After we reached the bottom via the sleds then we could catch a cable car to the top of the waterfall which again was worth the ride.  It was very tropical with a lot of natural plant growth and beautiful old trees & vines.

The waterfall was magnificent with a lot of different viewing areas and walks.

We again had the choice of walking back up to the top or catching the sled which pulled itself back to the top so it was just a matter of sitting out the ride.

It would be a good area for health fanatics who like challenging bush walks in a beautiful environment. It is a popular tourist attraction in Dalat.
