Vietnam - Phan Thiet - April 2013

We enjoyed our stay at the Romana Resort at Phan Thiet.  The Resort was right on the beach with great views from our rooms.  The resort has seen better days and is getting a little dog eared but nothing that a bit of maintenance and a coat of paint would not fix.  It is in a beautiful position with all the facilities that you would expect from a luxury resort.  Our rooms were spacious with a good size balcony, comfortable beds, free Wi Fi throughout the complex including our rooms and the swimming pool.

We ordered lunch at the swimming pool on our second day there and they delivered it to our lazy lounges - hamburgers, chips and Mango Juice.  Wonderful!  We could have had pool side or in room massages.  The breakfast room overlooked the pool and the beach and there was a good sized lounge/bar area for pre/post dinner drinks.    The weather was very hot with balmy nights so we enjoyed the tropical feel of the resort. There were lifts to take us up to our rooms and some nice walks through the gardens to the beach.  We did not get to see a lot of the city area as we played golf on both of the days we were there and spent some good quality time resting up at the pool area which was very attractive in the hot weather.

The day we arrived at Phan Thiet we played nine holes of golf at the Sealinks Golf & Country Club and the following day we played 18 holes at Ocean Dunes Golf Club which was designed by Nick Faldo in 1996.

Phan Thiet was a good experience and we appreciated the relaxing time we had there.
