Vietnam - Luan Cave and Lagoon, Halong Bay - April 2013

The Luan Cave and Lagoon were another optional choice during our Halong Bay cruise.  It was well worth the effort as well as the lagoon is a pristine beautiful little place which was a great experience.

We caught a tender boat over to the cave area and then transferred into smaller boats that could travel through the cave and around the lagoon without disturbing anything.

There was a sense of the mystical while we were there is it had been in this beautiful natural state for thousands of years.  The weather had started to clear a bit while we were at the cave and lagoon and the natural blue of the water was apparent.  I would have loved to have seen Halong Bay in full sunshine as the photos would have really been something special.  With natural beauty of the limestone islands and the blue of the water it would have had extreme wow factor.
