Meadow Springs Golf and Country Club WA - March 2011

Meadow Springs Golf & Country Club is more the type of course that we are used to ( as opposed to the links courses). The course was lush and green considering that there has been no rainfall for 3 months. The course had a lot of trees, natural bushland, water features and gardens.

The Course can be found at Mandurah about 30 minutes south of Perth.

It was a friendly course with normal bunkers but some challenging holes including water holes.

There was a lot of natural bushland that kangaroos can call home. I did notice that they do not trim any trees growing in the rough areas. I was most impressed with a machine that they used to pick up leaves and sticks around the course - pulled by a tractor it collected some quite large branches and mulched as it went around the course (photo attached). I will put that on the F-Troop wish list.

We had a great weather day and enjoyed playing the course.
