The WACA Perth WA - April 2011

The WACA ground in Perth WA is a great place to visit even if you are not a cricket tragic like Peter and Mark. All of the cricket heroes are household names and we see the ground many times during the televised cricket matches.

We had a very enjoyable day looking through through extensive museum and our Tour Guide - Frank Allen, took us on an in depth tour of the pavilion and the ground where we could have a close up view of the pitch and a look inside the President's Room and the Don Bradman Room.

Everything was kept in immaculate condition & it was interesting to look back on the old records and history of the Western Australian cricket.

While we sat out on the seats of the cricket ground listening to Frank give us some history on the ground the Fremantle Doctor blew in and we were freezing in minutes. Prior to that the day was warm & pleasant & would have dropped 10 degrees as soon as the Doctor arrived. I would have a blanket under my arm if I ever went to see the cricket there.

If you like history & sport this is on the "must do" list.
